Summary

Design Technology Technician Flexible Hours, to be negotiated with a minimum of 25 hours per week up to 32.5 hours, term time only Surrey Pay Grade S5 (£27,634 - £29,604 FTE) Actual salary: £21,462 - £22,992 based on 32.5 hoursAre you passionate about design, technology, and the creative process?Oakwood School is seeking a highly motivated Design Technology Technician to join our vibrant and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in a busy, safety-focused department delivering an engaging curriculum to 1600 pupils at Key Stage 3 and a wide range of Key Stage 4 options, including Design and Technology, Hospitality and Catering, and Food Preparation and Nutrition. Your Role would include: • Prepare and maintain resources and equipment, ensuring all are safe, clean, and ready for use. • Be a champion for health and safety for Design Technology, helping to lead safe working practices across the subject. • Carry out risk assessments and regular safety checks, supporting staff and students to work safely at all times. • Supervise and assist students during practical activities, always reinforcing safe behaviours. • Work collaboratively with our dedicated team to maintain an engaging and safe learning space.Training is available as required.
