Summary

JOB OVERVIEW

Wimbledon College based in Wimbledon is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Catering assistant.. The successful candidate will be a friendly and reliable team member with an interest in working with children in the busy hubbub of a large secondary school. You will be preparing, cooking and serving fresh, high-quality food that delights our pupils and ensures they come back for more.

WHAT WE OFFER


Term-time hours (37 weeks per year)
5 days per week 11am – 2 pmPro rata 6 weeks paid holiday included in monthly spread over payments. (Actual Salary £15.50 per hour, £10,049 p.a)

You will be responsible for preparing, serving, cleaning multiple meal servings over the school break periods and engaging with our young community, duties include:Simple food prep and cooking Preparing and replenishing the food and beverage service display areasServing the pupils and teachers fresh healthy nutritious foodSetting up furniture & handling deliveriesWashing up & cleaning

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


Previous catering experience [desirable but not essential]Food hygiene level 2 [preferred, but not essential as training will be given]
a proven ability to work on their own initiative.
a friendly, polite, upbeat and positive attitude
knowledge of kitchen health and safety
a high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
an alignment to a can-do culture.
a commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.
