Salary Grade ELM5 FTE £27,634 - £29,604 pa
Actual Salary 21.5 hours (3 days): £13,980- £14,976 pa
Are you passionate about science and keen to support the next generation of scientists? We are seeking a motivated and organised Science Technician to join our dynamic science faculty at Heathside Weybridge, a forward-thinking secondary school committed to delivering high-quality education.
You will support teaching and learning by:
• preparing and providing chemicals, equipment and materials for lessons,
• servicing laboratories, including cleaning of equipment between lessons
• providing timely support to all teaching staff in the Science department
• monitoring stock and supplies and undertaking administration tasks
• helping ensure health and safety in the Science department
The role includes working alongside teachers to support learning in practical lessons and demonstrations.
Candidates should:
• have experience working in a Scientific/Laboratory environment, know how to prepare and maintain supplies and equipment and possess a working knowledge of health and safety requirements.• be able to communicate effectively and be competent in IT and admin tasks
