Location: Aurora Fairway School, St Ives, CambridgeContract Type: Full-time, Permanent, Term Time Only Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: £22,102 – £24,103 (Actual annual salary, dependent on experience and qualifications) Hourly Rate: £12.37 – £13.49 p/hr About Aurora Fairway SchoolAurora Fairway School is a specialist day school for students aged 11–16 with complex learning needs, including SEMH, autism, and speech, language and communication difficulties. Opened in September 2022, our school is part of the innovative Aurora Group, which provides education and care for children, young people and adults with SEND across England. We offer a nurturing, therapeutic environment where every student is supported to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.We welcome and encourage visits – get in touch to arrange, we’d love to show you around.The RoleWe’re looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our wonderful team. You’ll play a vital role in supporting our students’ learning and wellbeing, helping them to reach their full potential in a safe and caring setting.This includes:Supporting students with SEMH, ASD and anxiety-related needsAssisting with learning activities and adapting them as neededHelping to manage behaviour positively and individuallyProviding resources and classroom support under teacher guidanceWhat We’re Looking ForIdeally but not essential - Experience working with children or young people with SENDEssential – Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and EnglishA caring, patient and resilient approachAbility to work collaboratively with teachers and other staffCommitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
