Summary

Help us make a difference to people with life-limiting illnesses…

At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 25 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.

About the role:

We work hard to ensure a varied and high-quality events schedule, from challenge events to mass participation events, delivering the best possible experience for supporters and volunteers as well as maximising income. Every year, we need to raise £12.7 million of the £15.3 million it takes to provide our services and fundraising events play a valuable part in this.

As an Events Support Administrator, you’ll be providing vital coordination and administrative support to our Events team, ensuring the smooth delivery of fundraising events, from planning through to evaluation.

As our Events Support Administrator, your role will include:

- Updating supporter and event data on our supporter database (CRM) and preparing reports
- Logging income, actioning invoices and issuing event materials
- Answering event participants’ or volunteers’ queries and sharing updates
- Coordinating participant communications such as thank-you messages
- Supporting event set-up, logistics and clear-down on the day of an event
- Assisting with volunteer coordination and ensuring they feel supported and valued
- Gathering feedback after events and helping to produce post-event analysis

This role will support our work by helping to deliver engaging, well-run fundraising events that inspire our supporters, raise vital income, and ensure every participant, volunteer and partner has a positive experience with us.

It will usually be office-based at our Warwick Hospice from Monday to Friday, 9-5. However, you will be expected to work at events outdoors and off-site, which will include weekends, earlier starts and/or evenings.

For an informal conversation about the role, please contact: Natalie Walker, Events Manager, at Natalie.Walker@mytonhospice.org

About you:

- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and a friendly, professional manner
- Experience of providing excellent supporter / customer service
- Ability to manage data accurately and confidentially using a CRM database
- Strong team-working skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Enthusiasm for fundraising and commitment to Myton’s values
- The right to work in the UK (we cannot support with visa sponsorship)
