Summary
The role of the Decontamination Engineer is to undertake Validations, PPM and reactive maintenance on all types of decontamination equipment, act as a site-specific contracted AP(D) and support the training team by delivering decontamination courses.
The post holder will be part of AVM’s multi-disciplined team and should therefore be able to work as part of the team. Along with the ability to work alone.
The post holder will be required to act as the Maintenance Person (sterilizers, washer disinfectors, Endoscope washers & Drying Cabinets), as defined by the Department of Health.
The post holder will be required to carry out maintenance and breakdown tasks on various types of validation equipment.
The post holder will ensure that all work is carried out to the highest possible standard and at all times, work within the guidelines laid out in the AVM procedures manual in order to fulfil the Trust’s overall objectives.
To provide accurate and timely information to the customers on the performance of their equipment.
PPM & Reactive maintenance, weekly, quarterly, annual validation in accordance with relevant HTM guidance documents on all types of CSSD equipment, and Endoscopy equipment.
The post holder will be required to act as the Competent Person (sterilizers/washer disinfectors/EWD/drying Cabinets), as defined by Department of Health guidelines for NHS Trusts, Private Healthcare Establishments and Commercial Organisations.
The post holder will be part of AVM’s multi-disciplined team and should therefore be able to work as part of the team. Along with the ability to work alone.
The post holder will ensure that all work is always carried out to the highest possible standard to work within the guidelines laid out in the AVM procedures manual, and so as to fulfil the Trust’s overall objectives.
The post holder must always adhere to Client Health and Safety requirements at every site always worked upon and be polite and courtesy to all levels of staff and patients.
The post holder will be willing to undertake training to allow them to advance into delivering training and act as an AP(D).
To interpret all results to prepare and present detailed reports and documentation in accordance with Department of Health guidelines.
