A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Liverpool is working in partnership with KPI Education to recruit an enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Full-time, long-term role starting September 2025
Earn up to £530 per week
Fixed placement within one primary school in Liverpool
Support children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 with both academic and emotional development
Excellent stepping stone for aspiring Educational Psychologists, SEN specialists, or future Teachers
Applicants should hold at least a 2:1 degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject)
Previous experience with children (school settings, volunteering, or youth work) is highly valued
Provide tailored support for children with SEN, emotional needs, or those requiring extra pastoral input
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to deliver interventions and personalised strategies
Teacher training options available from 2026

About the Role

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils inside and outside the classroom. Your role may involve providing 1:1 support for children with additional needs, or leading small group activities to help boost confidence, resilience, and attainment.

This role offers valuable exposure to supporting children with SEN, behavioural challenges, and emotional difficulties, giving you first-hand insight into how psychological principles can be applied within education.
