Summary

Location: Northampton, Daventry, Wellingborough, Kettering, Corby, Rushden, Northants
Job Type: Full-Time | Part-Time | Ongoing Supply

Salary:
* Teachers: long terms in line with teacher pay scale (commensurate with experience), Day to day depending on school and experience
* Teaching Assistants: £90-£120 per day (depending on role and experience)

About the Role

Mana Education is working with a specialist group of schools across Northamptonshire who are seeking dedicated SEMH Teachers and SEMH Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

The students you'll be supporting may present with SEMH, SEND, SpLD, Autism, ADHD, or other complex needs. These schools provide nurturing, structured environments for pupils who require consistency, empathy, and skilled intervention.

Whether you are a qualified teacher or an experienced teaching assistant, your role will be to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning space that helps every child thrive.

✅ What You'll Be Doing

As a Teacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of each pupil.
* Provide clear structure, marking, and assessment for progress tracking.
* Deliver targeted interventions and differentiated learning.
* Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom.
* Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management.
* Help pupils with emotional, social, and academic development.
* Create a calm, positive environment that encourages learning.

We're Looking For

* Experience working with SEMH, SEND, SpLD, Autism (ASC), ADHD, or Dyslexia.
* Patience, empathy, and a resilient, nurturing approach.
* Teachers: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and ideally experience in a PRU or SEMH provision.
* Teaching Assistants: Experience as an SEN TA, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, or equivalent.
