Summary

The Leisure Club at Whittlebury Park is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Membership Manager. This role is ideal for someone wanting to either go into management for the first time or develop existing talents further.

What are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a person who is passionate about the hospitality, sales and leisure industry and who has a proven record of accomplishment in sales.

Salary

up to £27,000 - £30,000 OTE

Main areas of accountability and responsibility

Achievement of Leisure Club, Spa and Golf membership revenue against budget and year on year growth.
Achievement of membership experience score KPI’s and the maintaining of these.
To ensure membership cancellation budget is met and retention KPI’s are better than budget and year on year improvement.
To present and implement new membership initiatives to show development of the membership product which in turn increases revenue, retention and member satisfaction.
Potentially lead and manage a team of membership consultants to help them achieve their daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
Potentially lead and manage a team of leisure club receptionists to ensure they deliver impeccable standards, full staffing coverage of leisure club opening hours, they remain commercial aware and that you demonstrate strong leadership skills when dealing with staff affairs.
Show initiative in dealing with a membership base/group to protect and develop the membership product.
Show strong leadership skills and strong management skills when handling staff and member queries and complaints.
Develop and adhere to membership reporting deadlines to show constant development of the membership business and to highlight any trends of success or concern.
Make day-to-day decisions on the running of the Leisure Club, Spa and Golf membership office.
What does a typical day look like?

Working a 40-hour week, you will set up and deliver daily KPI’s. These include a minimum amount of calls, lead generation activities, appointments and sales.

You will be responsible for delivering a new member and retention target each day by breaking down the revenue and member budgets into an achievable daily total. Showing excellent initiative, you will have the experience and knowledge to be able to quickly change upcoming daily appointment levels should you see any downward trends which could contribute to the missing weekly and monthly KPI’s.

Presenting weekly and monthly sales plans to The Head of VC and Membership Sales you will dynamically show how all revenue lines will be achieved and implement this plan to a daily set up.

Showing leadership skills, you will be able to deploy membership and reception staff to assist with the increase of membership revenue through lead generation activities.

You will also be expected to handle membership queries quickly and efficiently on a daily basis.

Exceling in The Membership Sales Manager role can be done in many ways, these would include; Delivering and over achieving in all responsible reporting lines, implementing new commercial strategies to enhance revenue or guest satisfaction, being personally mentioned in any of The Leisure Clubs feedback channels from members and guests, over delivering with the completion of reports and tasks set out by The Leisure Club Management team, being praised by other your peers and other staff.

This Job Description cannot be exhaustive due to the requirements of the hotel industry. Therefore, the job holder may be required from time to time to carry out reasonable tasks requested by management.
