Summary
M&E Quantity Surveyor
Location: North London
Salary: £60,000
Contract Type: 8-month fixed-term
We are recruiting for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a leading property services team in North London on an 8-month fixed-term contract paying £60,000. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional with a strong background in mechanical and electrical works, ideally within the social housing or property services sector.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the commercial and financial delivery of a busy M&E programme, ensuring works are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing the commercial aspects of M&E projects across social housing contracts

Preparing, reviewing and negotiating contracts, tenders, variations and valuations

Producing accurate cost forecasts, budgets and financial reports

Managing interim and final accounts to ensure compliance and accuracy

Advising operational teams on commercial and contractual matters

Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders

Monitoring project performance and ensuring compliance with financial and H&S obligations
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E projects

Strong background in social housing, local authority or property services contracts - essential

Excellent commercial and financial management skills

Knowledge of contracts, SOR codes and construction cost control

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Full UK driving licence
