WHAT DO YOU DO Advanced Clinical Practice Independently assess and treat patients with more complex needs across inpatient or outpatient settings. Develop individualised treatment plans using a variety of physiotherapy techniques to optimise recovery, function, and independence. Monitor patient progress and adapt interventions accordingly, ensuring high standards of clinical care. Caseload and Prioritisation Manage a designated caseload efficiently, prioritising based on clinical urgency and discharge planning needs. Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective, and timely patient care. Contribute to continuity of care by supporting patient transitions between services. Support and Supervision Act as a point of contact for junior physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and students, offering guidance and informal supervision. Assist in the induction and training of new staff. Begin to take responsibility for coordinating therapy input within a specific clinical area or shift as required. Communication and Documentation Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical records in line with HCPC, CSP, and local policy. Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues to support engagement and shared decision-making. Contribute to ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary meetings as needed. Clinical Governance and Quality Participate in audits, service evaluations, and quality improvement projects. Adhere to all governance procedures including health and safety, infection prevention, and safeguarding. Actively reflect on practice to identify learning opportunities and support continuous improvement. Professional Development Demonstrate commitment to ongoing CPD and reflective practice to support your development as a senior clinician. Attend internal and external training, share knowledge with colleagues, and contribute to a learning culture within the team. Begin to develop a clinical area of interest or specialty focus under guidance. WHAT DO YOU HAVE Essential: HCPC-registered Physiotherapist. Solid post-registration experience across a range of clinical areas. Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities. Commitment to team working and service improvement. Desirable: Evidence of CPD or postgraduate learning in a relevant clinical area. Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff or students. Familiarity with electronic documentation and outcome measurement tools. Involvement in audit or clinical service initiatives.
