We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established veterinary-led organisation that is expanding its team in the Dundee area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Mixed Official Veterinarian to combine export certification work with public health responsibilities, while enjoying ongoing support, training, and career development.
The Role
• Provide veterinary export certification of Products of Animal Origin (POAO) to EU and non-EU countries (around 50%).
• Deliver official controls within cutting plants on behalf of Food Standards Scotland (around 50%).
• Carry out food safety checks on export products.
• Stay up to date with Export Health Certification (EHC) requirements and Notes for Guidance.
• Build positive relationships with exporters and deliver high-quality certification services.
Requirements
• Veterinary medicine degree.
• Full membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
• Official Veterinarian course in official control in meat plants.
• Valid driving licence.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• VISA sponsorship available if required.
