Caretaker
Manchester – covering the North West
£25,400

We have an opportunity for a Caretaker to join our Estate Services team within Property Services in Manchester. The main responsibility of this role is to deliver caretaking duties across the region to void properties and ensure all compliance checks (Fire Alarm, Emergency Lights and Legionella Checks) are completed. You will also be expected to carry out other duties such as communal cleaning, collection of fly tipping, soft & hard landscaping and fencing. You need to have an eye for detail and dedication to accuracy and completeness, being meticulous when completing work.
The role of Caretaker will include:
- Undertaking general caretaking duties including cleaning, removing bulk waste and ground maintenance to void properties, this may also include communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows
- Grounds maintenance tasks to include litter picking and general upkeep
- Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
- Communicating effectively with management and updating paper and electronic records daily
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition
Skills and experiences:
- Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
- Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- This role will involve driving on company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
