Summary

Great opportunity to work as a Quality Controller for a world leader in fresh, natural and healthy produce.

Staffline is recruiting for a Quality Controller to work in Boston.

The rates of pay are:
- Days £13.46 per hour

The hours of work and shift pattern are:
- 7:00am to 4:00pm
- 5 days out of 7
- You will be required to work one weekend in every 3

You will need to be flexible to meet the demands of the business.

Your Time at Work

As a Quality Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring our fruit and vegetables meet the highest standards from the moment they arrive through to final dispatch. You will be responsible for monitoring product quality, supporting food safety protocols, and helping maintain our commitment to delivering fresh, high-quality produce to customers.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing the quality of incoming produce against internal and customer specifications
- Conducting regular audits across Intake and Packhouse areas
- Accurately documenting inspection results and taking timely action when standards are not met
- Working collaboratively to maintain site protocols and uphold food safety procedures
- Suggesting improvements to reduce claims and enhance handling processes
- Promoting best practices in quality control and supporting continuous improvement
- Communicating quality concerns clearly to relevant teams
- Making confident decisions within trained guidelines when working independently

Our ideal Quality Controller will have a keen eye for detail and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will need to be confident working independently while also collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent quality standards.

We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in fresh produce production
- Ideally has previous QC experience within a food environment
- Communicates clearly and effectively across teams
- Can work under pressure and make sound decisions within trained guidelines
- Has a good level of written and spoken English
- Is comfortable working with numbers and basic calculations

While previous experience is beneficial, it is not essential, as full training will be provided.
