You will work within the Remote Enforcement Office to ensure that accurate and thorough assessments are completed, highlighting areas of non-compliance across the Enforcement Spectrum. You will be empowered to make recommendations and decisions, alongside taking appropriate follow-up action. You will conduct technical analysis of mechanical prohibition information and maintenance systems. You will review and assess levels of compliance and conducting tasks in relation to the HGV, PSV and light vehicle MOT testing scheme.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

Triage and conduct risks assessment for compliance with legislative regulations of S Marked prohibitions issued by enforcement network staff. You will work with network staff to ensure correct recording or removal of prohibition as required.Technical assessment of emission cheat device cases or other vehicle system cases, for referral to Desk Based Assessments and investigation.Interrogation, assessment and preparation of evidence to establish further actions that may need to be taken forward by enforcement network staff, issuing of improvement notices and provide guidance to vehicle operators.Create and provide intelligence and evidential reports using ANPR data, when requested for prosecution, public inquiry or internal purposes, in line with the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act.Preparation for accurate and detailed reports to follow up enforcement, prosecution or other actions within appropriate timescales.Develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and education as required.
