Do you thrive in a collaborative culture and want to be part of a team that truly makes a difference?
If so, we would like you to apply for our Science Teacher role!

Your role:
As a Science Teacher at Richard Barnes Academy, you will deliver engaging lessons that support the academic and personal development of students aged 12 to 16. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you’ll foster a purposeful learning environment, promote positive behaviour, and guide learners through qualifications that prepare them for reintegration into mainstream education or progression to Post-16 pathways.

You’ll plan and assess effectively, maintain high expectations, and use inclusive teaching strategies to inspire students. As a tutor, you’ll build strong relationships and support the social and academic progress of your group.
We’re looking for a qualified teacher with a relevant degree, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse needs. Experience in student-centred learning and curriculum planning is essential, along with a commitment to safeguarding, equality, and ongoing professional development.

We warmly welcome visits from prospective candidates interested in joining our team.
