More detail about the role We are looking for an experienced pharmacist who is thinking of taking the next step in their career by developing themselves in a specialist area whilst consolidating their practice in core rotational areas. Ideally you will have completed, or be on your way towards finishing your clinical diploma and have experience in a hospital pharmacy setting. Aspirations to develop as an independent prescriber and to gain experience across a variety of specialist clinical areas will also be required. The Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital offers specialist rotations including Intensive Care, Respiratory & Cystic Fibrosis, Cardiology, Specialist Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Renal, Acute Stroke, Paediatrics & Neonates, Acute Medicine. The lead pharmacist for each of these areas will support you during the rotation and there will be opportunities to be involved in quality improvement and teaching as well as additional opportunities for mentoring and personal development within our expanding team. As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most. Hours: 37.5 hours per week. The post-holder will participate in on-call, weekend, late duty and bank holiday rosters.
