Summary
Your new role
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newton-le-Willows is seeking a committed and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join its supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive, particularly those with Special Educational Needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the school, including those with additional needs. You will assist in delivering engaging learning activities, help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and provide tailored support to children. Experience working with children with SEN is desirable, but not essential as guidance will be provided.
What you'll need to succeed
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (Desirable but not essential).
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive, with a genuine interest in supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
- Full right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
- Experience working with children
