Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Nursery Practitioner /Deputy Room Leader to join a well-established nursery committed to providing exceptional childcare and education creating a nurturing, inclusive, and high-quality environment for children.

As a Senior Nursery Practitioner /Deputy Room Leader, you will be supporting the daily running of a room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.

This full-time permanent role offers a salary of £28,000 and benefits.

You Will Be Responsible For

- Supporting the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the room.

- Delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development.

- Acting as a key person, carrying out observations and maintaining accurate records of progress.

- Ensuring the safety and welfare of all children, following safeguarding and health & safety procedures.

- Building positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to promote strong partnerships.

- Maintaining high standards of practice, environment, and resources in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

- Contributing to planning and assessment to meet individual needs.

- Encouraging an inclusive environment where all children have equal access and opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

- Previously worked as a Senior Nursery Practitioner, Senior Nursery Nurse, Deputy Room Leader, Assistant Room Leader, Room Supervisor or in a similar role.

- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification .

- Ideally have 1year of experience in Childcare or nursery environment.

- Knowledge and experience of the EYFS framework.

- Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training.

- Strong ability to plan, observe, and assess children's learning and development.

- Awareness of health & safety requirements and safeguarding responsibilities.

- Ability to support children with SEND and work in partnership with parents.
