Summary

Religious Worker

Tenure: Full Time – 30 hours per week (i.e., 6 hours daily, 5 days weekly)

The Context

Grace to Grace International Centre is a UK Registered Religious Charity that exists to benefit the residents of Dagenham and the surrounding neighbourhood, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race, or political, religious or other opinions.

We partner with residents, local authorities, voluntary organisations, and other stakeholders in a common effort to advance education and provide facilities in the interest of social welfare, recreation, and leisure-time occupation, with the objective of improving quality of life for the community.

The organisation also operates viable Community Foodbanks that primarily serve unemployed, homeless, destitute, and low-income families.

Our motto is: Fighting food poverty, providing essentials, and reducing food waste.

Job Summary

We are seeking committed Religious Workers to support the spiritual and community mission of Grace to Grace International Centre. The role will include service within the church, outreach to the community, and support of our charitable and social initiatives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Lead and participate in worship services, prayer meetings, and teaching programmes.

Provide pastoral care and counselling to members of the congregation and the wider community.

Support in community outreaches and evangelism, including distribution of articles, leaflets, tracts, and evangelism materials.

Assist in the coordination of community foodbank activities, including sorting and distributing food parcels, groceries, clothing, and essentials.

Support with the arrangement of halls, event centres, and places of worship for church and community programmes.

Collaborate with other volunteers and workers to deliver the mission of the charity.
