Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Domestic Assistant to join our fantastic #TeamBorders at our brand new office location in Galashiels on a permanent, part-time (15 hours per week) basis.

The Role

Cornerstone is one of Scotland’s largest charities with over 40 years’ experience providing care and support for adults and children with various support needs throughout Scotland.

As our Domestic Assistant, your key responsibility will be to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in our Connects Hub Support Building. This will include vacuuming, moping, sweeping, polishing, cleaning, emptying bins, kitchen and bathroom areas. You will also be responsible for managing your own cleaning stock to ensure you have all the resources you need to fulfil your role.

About You

To be a great Domestic Assistant, we're looking for you to: -

Have an understanding of infection prevention and control
Be reliable, conscientious and have good timekeeping
Be thorough and have a good eye for detail
Have a warm, friendly personality with good communication skills
Bring a good understanding of confidentiality

It would also be great if you have: -

Previous experience working in a similar role

Shift Patterns

Your contracted hours will be worked over 5 days and can be either early mornings (starting from 0800 hours onwards) or late afternoons (from 1700 hours onwards). There may also be occasions that we need you to work the occasional weekend if any office events are planned, but you would always be given advance notice.
