To work within a Secure Adolescence Inpatient Service, with children and young people aged 12 to 18, who have complex difficulties and need a high level of care. This will include young people with complex mental health and offending related behaviours, who pose a risk to themselves and others and require mental health care and support services, within a secure and appropriate environment.
The role will involve working with high risk mentally disordered offenders, undertaking a broad range of generic and specialist risk assessments, reviews, applications and reports. Operating as a Social Worker, in a secure inpatient hospital environment, working with young people to undertake and participate in, the multi-disciplinary assessment and care management process and the provision of integrated care packages, inclusive of rehabilitation services, for individuals with mental health problems and their families/carers, within the appropriate legislative framework.
Within a multi-disciplinary context and in partnership with other agencies/resources, to provide/contribute to, ongoing care management and review services, including risk assessment/risk management/CPA, participating in case conferences/discussions within the appropriate policy and legislative frameworks.
To undertake duties and appropriate planning activities to manage a caseload, which will require accurate records, accountability, workload management, case recording, data collection and submission of appropriate reports, in accordance with North Ayrshire policies, procedures and standards, inclusive of the use of IT systems.
