Summary

University of Sheffield
We are looking for a team player to join our lab to help us finish a project on understanding the fundamental molecular and cellular changes of the testis with ageing, which may underpin increased morbidity in the offspring of older fathers. The job would suit someone who would be willing to work part-time 2 days per week until September and full-time, 5 days a week, from September until end of April. You would be joining a dynamic, small team based at the Bateson Centre, in Firth Court, at the University of Sheffield. The PI is committed to their staff career development and this technician position could be a good starting point for a candidate wanting to pursue a PhD.
We use Zebrafish as a model, and we are looking for a candidate with a good fundamental knowledge of Reproductive Biology, Histopathology and Physiology and expertise in Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and microscopy imaging. Basic image J knowledge and experience in image analysis will be favoured. We will also favour someone with previous adult zebrafish histology experience.
