Clinical Lead Nurse – Nursing Home | £49,000 | 40 Hours per week

Our client, a luxury nursing home, is looking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Lead Nurse to lead its nursing team and drive high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse with strong clinical expertise and a passion for leadership, mentorship, and continuous improvement.

As the Clinical Lead Nurse, you will ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding, and DOLS regulations, while fostering a collaborative, positive, and supportive environment for both patients and staff.

This full-time position (40 hours/week) includes alternative weekends and shifts from 8:00–8:00 and 8:00–16:00.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse with active NMC registration.
  • Strong clinical expertise with confidence in leading and inspiring a nursing team.
  • Proven experience in leadership, management, or supervisory roles in healthcare.
  • Ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CQC inspections, safeguarding, DOLS, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Commitment to promoting high standards of nursing care, mentoring, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the nursing team to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Provide clinical guidance and decision-making support in complex or high-pressure situations.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging professional development.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with safeguarding, DOLS, CQC, and other regulatory standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate patient care plans, ensuring safety, dignity, and well-being.
  • Organise and deliver training and mentoring programs to strengthen nursing staff skills.
  • Build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues through effective communication.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies for nursing practices and operational processes.
  • Support policy development to maintain alignment with best practice, accreditation, and compliance requirements.
