Summary

Centre Manager - Newmarket – £27,975.61-£30,452.29
In this role, you will take on a dynamic and diverse leadership position, ensuring the seamless operation of your Leisure Centre. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations, adhering to Health and Safety standards, and managing a dedicated team of duty managers. You will be accountable for maintaining the site within the organisation's set budgets, collaborating closely with your area manager on various site projects, and continually striving to enhance the overall experience for our members and customers. Your leadership will be pivotal in creating a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment that meets the highest standards of service and operational excellence.
37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
• Overseeing daily operations ensuring a smooth and efficient running if the leisure centre is met
• Health and safety compliance and conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments to ensure a safe environment for employees and members
• Team management which would include team meetings, performance reviews and providing ongoing training and development for staff
• Budget management, specifically monitoring financial performance, expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Project collaboration with the Area Manager and Abbeycroft to improve facilities and services at the leisure centre
• Customer experience enhancement, striving to enhance overall experience and address customer feedback and complaints promptly and professionally
• Operational excellence ensuring operations meet the highest standards of service and best practices are always adhered to
Requirements:
• Responsible individual with a passion for working in leisure, health, and well-being.
• Prior experience working in a leisure environment is desirable.
• Leadership skills with a strong ability to motivate, mentor and manage a team
• Health and safety knowledge
• Experience in budget management and financial oversight including the ability to analyse reports and manage expenses effectively
• Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders
• Project management skills with the ability to plan, execute and oversee projects
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service including excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem solving skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances and handling multiple tasks, including the willingness to work flexibly at ties
Qualifications:
• First Aid at Work certification (essential)
• Fitness Level 2 Qualification (desirable)
• Pool Plant Operator License (desirable)
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (desirable)
• Swim Teaching Qualification (desirable)
