Role Summary
This is a full-time position for an experienced and dynamic Head of Year, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be a key figure in the pastoral and academic success of a designated year group. You will be responsible for creating a supportive and ambitious culture, where all students feel valued and are encouraged to thrive. This is a management post that involves providing professional leadership to a team of tutors, ensuring the highest standards of student behaviour, attendance, and well-being. The role requires a proactive and strategic individual who can monitor student progress, implement effective interventions, and work collaboratively with the wider school community.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a pastoral or leadership role within a school setting.
- Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding procedures and best practices.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the year group tutor team.
- Monitoring and tracking the academic and pastoral progress of all students in the year group.
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve attendance and punctuality.
- Managing student behaviour and ensuring adherence to school policies.
- Liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student well-being.
- Organising and leading year group assemblies and events.
- Conducting regular meetings with the year team to review progress and share best practices.
- Providing pastoral support and guidance to students, including those who are vulnerable.
- Contributing to the school's overall strategic direction and improvement plan.
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of all students in the year group.
