The Role

We are seeking an exceptional and dynamic Physics Teacher to join a thriving and forward-thinking school in Leeds. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a unique opportunity. As a Physics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will create a stimulating learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and develop a genuine love for the subject. You will play a crucial role in preparing students for their GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring they achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and examination board specifications.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Skills Required

  • Outstanding subject knowledge in Physics, up to and including A-Level.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Creativity in developing engaging and inspiring lesson plans.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Physics lessons across all key stages.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Create and maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of the Physics curriculum and departmental resources.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and school-wide professional development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
  • Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral care and support to a group of students.
  • Uphold the school's values and ethos.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and subject-related clubs.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in the classroom.
