SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 ASD Support (Year 4)
Location: Stourbridge, DY8
Weekly Pay: £460 - £500
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (term time only)
Start Date: 01/09/2025
Contract: Long-term, Temp-to-Perm
Long Term Futures is seeking a patient and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 4 pupil with ASD in a welcoming primary school in Stourbridge. The role will focus on supporting learning in class, managing challenging behaviour, and helping the child engage positively with the school environment. Team Teach training is highly desirable.
What the school is looking for:
- Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
- Experience: At least 1 year supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD.
- Skills: Strong behaviour management skills, ability to de-escalate challenging situations, and experience with ASD strategies.
- Knowledge: Understanding of SEN support methods and behaviour regulation approaches.
