SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Beswick, Manchester
Contract: Full-time, long-term supply (Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, term-time)
Pay rate: £105 per day

An inclusive and supportive primary school in Beswick, Manchester is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. As an SEN TA, you will work closely with pupils who have a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties. You will play a key role in providing structured support that builds confidence, independence, and essential learning skills.
Your role will include:
- Offering 1:1 support as well as small group interventions
- Using communication systems such as PECS or Makaton to enhance learning and interaction
- Supporting pupils with sensory regulation, transitions, and emotional well-being
- Following individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
- Collaborating with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide consistent, high-quality support

· Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification (desirable)
· MAPA, Team-Teach, or similar de-escalation training (desirable)
