Up to £125 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)
Long Term Futures are working with a high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Greenwich to appoint a dedicated Pastoral Mentor to provide targeted SEMH support across Key Stage 4.
This role is central to the school's pastoral and inclusion provision, focusing on supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs who may be at risk of disengagement or exclusion. You'll work closely with Heads of Year, safeguarding staff and families to ensure each student receives consistent and compassionate support that enables them to thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist 1:1 and small group mentoring for students across KS4 with SEMH needs
* Support behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing in and out of the classroom
* Assist with reintegration following absence, exclusion or internal referrals
* Work with teaching staff to monitor behaviour, academic engagement and attendance
* Participate in pastoral meetings and contribute to behaviour and wellbeing plans
* Build strong, supportive relationships with students and their families
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with secondary-aged students with SEMH or behaviour needs
* A confident, empathetic and consistent approach
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* A background in pastoral mentoring, youth work, PRU, or safeguarding
* Understanding of trauma-informed and restorative practices
Location and Transport - Greenwich, South East London
* Accessible via North Greenwich, Maze Hill and Charlton stations
* Bus routes include: 132, 177, 188, 422, 486
