Hays Education is proud to be working in partnership with a respected secondary school in Newcastle to recruit a Personal Assistant to the Head Teacher. This is a full-time, role based onsite five days a week, offering a competitive salary of up to £32,000 per annum.
The RoleAs PA to the Head Teacher, you will be a key member of the school's administrative team, providing high-level support to the Head Teacher and contributing to the smooth running of the school. You'll manage communications, coordinate meetings and events, and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Head Teacher
- Manage diary appointments, emails, and correspondence
- Prepare agendas, reports, and minutes for meetings
- Liaise with staff, parents, governors, and external stakeholders
- Support with school compliance, policies, and documentation
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold school values at all times
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous experience in a PA, EA, or senior administrative role (experience in education is desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school MIS systems (e.g., SIMS)
- Ability to work independently and manage sensitive information
- Desirable:A valid DBS registered on the Update Service
