Senior Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home (Totton)
Location: Totton
Hours: 45 hours per week
Starting Salary: £32,058.00 (rising to £32,760.00 upon successful completion of probation)
Rota: Planned well in advance to support a healthy work-life balance

We are a small, nurturing children’s residential home in Totton, dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for the young people in our care. We are now looking for a compassionate and confident Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team.

Your Role Will Include:
• Leading and managing shifts to ensure smooth daily operations
• Being a positive role model for both colleagues and residents
• Administering medication in line with policies and procedures
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of young people through strong safeguarding practices
• Supporting the team and helping to build a positive, trauma-informed culture
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in a similar children’s residential setting is essential
• NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent) – required
• A strong understanding of safeguarding practices
• A calm, resilient, and caring nature
• Confident in managing shifts and supporting junior staff
