Role Overview

As a Senior Health Carer / Care Coordinator based in our Cambourne office, you’ll serve as a support link for care staff, clients, and their families. You’ll deliver leadership and guidance to care teams, conduct assessments and care reviews, and collaborate with health professionals and local authorities to maintain high-quality, person-centred care.


Key Responsibilities

In this role,
- You'll act as the first point of contact for care staff,
- Offering support, supervision, and spot checks;
- Assist with staff inductions and ongoing training;
- Foster strong relationships with clients and families;
- Undertake care and risk assessments;
- Monitor service delivery in line with CQC standards;
- Manage complaints and safeguarding matters; maintain accurate care documentation; support audits and reporting for the Registered Manager;
- Make new care plans and review the existing ones;
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, local authorities, and families;
- Contribute to team meetings and service improvement initiatives,
- Providing cover for field staff when needed.


Essential Requirements

- Experience in a similar role—Senior Carer, Team Leader, or Care Coordinator.
- Understanding of CQC frameworks and safeguarding duties.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Competent IT and administrative abilities.
- A compassionate, professional, and dependable demeanour.
