The Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) is seeking an HR Employee Relations Advisor. Your new role will sit in the Directorate of Corporate Services that is responsible for the effective delivery of Corporate Services to the MCA. Corporate Services includes Communications, IT, Procurement, Finance, Health & Safety, Human Resources, Internal Audit and Assurance, Programme Management Office, and Property & Facilities.

Human Resources is a key enabling function responsible for the planning and delivery of the MCA's People Strategy and a full range of HR services including Organisational Design and Development, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Volunteer support, Reward and Resourcing, Planning and Governance.

You will support Employee Relation Managers with the administration and management of ER matters for both staff and volunteers providing an efficient and effective service whilst engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

Working with the HR Employee Relations Managers to ensure activities are actioned in accordance with policies and procedures. This may include, but is not limited to disciplinaries, performance, probation or attendance.Providing administrative support including inbox management, invoice processing and data processing in-line with GDPR legislation.Delivering interventions on informal and formal resolutions where appropriate.Supporting the delivery of management training and specialised training to upskill staff and volunteers on people processes.Working with His Majesty’s Coastguard colleagues to provide support and guidance in managing volunteers.Monitoring and updating Management Information to identify trends and pro-actively identify solutions.Supporting with implementation and embedding of relevant policy changes including the communication of the change to the business and Handbook.
