Summary
Clinical responsibilities: To assess, manage and treat patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart failure, hypertension and CKD. To ensure safe and effective care that is evidence based, working within local and national guidelines. Immunisation & Vaccination Programmes Proficient in administering the childhood vaccination programme, including unscheduled immunisations. Seasonal vaccination programmes including influenza and covid. Routine vaccination programmes including shingles, pneumonia and RSV. To undertake a thorough travel health assessment to include travel related health risks, dependent on destination and to administer appropriate vaccines. Womens Health To be proficient in cervical sampling.Contraceptive and Sexual Health Wound care and management To assess patients attending with minor wounds. To assess complex wounds and undertake doppler assessments.
