Summary
Main Responsibilities: Supporter Care & Stewardship Send timely and sensitive acknowledgements and thank-you communications to donors. To help and to support in the development of and to implement a donor recognition program, including thank-you letters and regular updates on the impact of their contributions. Work with the IG Manager and wider Fundraising team to ensure donors feel valued and appreciated, fostering long-term relationships. Provide personalised support to individual donors, addressing inquiries and providing information on giving options. Support the planning and execution of fundraising events and activities aimed at individual donors. Creation and delivery of our in-memory stewardship journey, including donors who set up tribute pages offering personalised support and updates. Operational responsibilities Assist in the development and execution of individual giving campaigns. Coordinate lottery draws, including communication with winners and processing prize distributions. Monitor and report on lottery performance, providing insights to improve effectiveness. Work closely with the Finance team to reconcile lottery income and ensure accurate financial reporting. Campaign support Support the IG Manager in the set up and operational management of face-to-face fundraising campaigns. Including invoice processing, complaint handling, site management and training for third party fundraising teams. Support with the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns across a range of channels including direct mail, email, social, display advertising and newsletters. Support post-campaign analysis to identify learnings and improvements for future activity Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (e.g. Charity Act 2011, GDPR, probate law). Monitor and mitigate risks, working with legal or governance leads when necessary. Support the administration of the hospice lottery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Ensure all Individual Giving activities comply with Fundraising Regulator guidance and hospice policies. Team responsibilities Collaborate with clinical teams or service leads to gather stories and impact updates for donor communications. Understand and keep up to date on all fundraising regulations and best practices. Explore and propose opportunities for the hospice to grow its brand awareness, as well as presence in the community. Support the broader Fundraising team with input into key activities and new portfolio development such as fundraising campaigns to maximise income.
