Crown Farms, part of the successful Cranswick PLC., is currently seeking a Relief Farm Assistant to work across our Breeder/Rearing poultry farms.

The main responsibility of a Relief Farm Assistant is to cover Farm Staff absences as required.

Regular travel and visits to farms across Agriculture Division, within Breeder Department will be necessary.

You will assist in ensuring that Farms comply with the applicable assurance and welfare standards.

Location required - Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Ensuring all aspects of running the farms are met.
Maintaining safe working practices.
Ensuring welfare of livestock.
Maintain optimum environmental conditions and ensure bird welfare and bio security practices are maintained.
Maintain accurate records.
Ensuring that high standards of animal welfare, hygiene and husbandry practice are maintained.
Delivering Site stores and consumables as required
Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:

Experience of working on poultry units in a Farm Assistant / Farm worker position.
Ability to carry out manual duties.
NVQ level 2 in poultry production or similar or willingness to gain
Valid UK driving license.
Understanding of relevant risk assessments and trained as competent to safe working procedures.
Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting.
