Summary

Asset Management Surveyor

As an integral part of Orwell's Asset Management team, you will be responsible for supporting the upkeep and improvement of property assets by carrying out thorough inspections, including but not limited to stock condition, void properties, damp and mould, dilapidations, and disrepairs.

This role plays a key part in delivering the Asset Management Strategy, helping to ensure that all properties remain safe, compliant, and ready for future investment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a comprehensive and accurate stock condition database, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee project management related to the inspections carried out, coordinating follow-up actions for identified issues such as dilapidations and disrepairs.
  • Prepare detailed specifications and quantities for inclusion in tender documents for proposed works.
  • Ensure that findings from all inspections are meticulously reported and documented.
  • Regularly update and maintain accurate records of all inspections, findings, and actions taken in relation to property assets.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including tenants, contractors, and external agencies, to communicate inspection results.

About you:

Our ideal Asset Management Surveyor will have…

  • Previous experience of working in a customer-facing environment, dealing with difficult and complex situations.
  • Previous experience of completing stock condition surveys.
  • Experience of working in social housing.
  • Proven track record of experience working as a surveyor.

Person Specification…

  • HNC/HND in Building (or equivalent)
  • Membership of relevant professional body
  • 5 GCSE grades 9-4 or equivalent including English Language and Maths, is essential.

Due to the nature of this role a full UK Driving Licence is required.
