Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Head Housekeeper to join our team at Church Farm at Cotgrave in Nottinghamshire in the heart of the community.
This role is vital in managing every aspect of the domestic and housekeeping function within the nursing home, delivering a quality service in line with health, safety and hygiene requirements; adhering to government guidelines and maintaining Church Farm’s high standards.
This role is a part-time position working 4 shifts per week (26 hours per week contract). There will be a requirement to work alternative weekends.
Responsibilities
Lead the team of domestic staff and manage individual’s performance, conducting supervisions, appraisals, return to work meetings as required.
Ensure all personal bedrooms and also communal areas are maintained to a high standard every day.
Maintain compliance with standards, ensuring all records are up to date and accurate.
Manage stock, equipment and resources.
Conduct compliance audits.
With support of the Home Manager complete the domestic team staff rota to ensure that the home is appropriately staffed at all times across 7 days each week.
Qualifications
Proven experience in commercial cleaning roles.
Management experience.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices.
Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to care.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
