If so, Randstad Education wants to hear from you! We are currently recruiting passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistants for flexible supply positions in primary schools throughout the Leeds area.
As a Supply EYFS TA, you will have the exciting opportunity to work across different Nursery and Reception classes, supporting children during their crucial first steps in education. This role offers unparalleled variety and the chance to make a real impact in diverse school communities.
Key Responsibilities:-
Support Learning Through Play: Assist the class teacher in setting up and delivering engaging activities that align with the EYFS curriculum, including phonics sessions, creative arts, messy play, and outdoor learning.

Create a Nurturing Environment: Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating atmosphere where every child feels valued and secure.

Small Group and 1:1 Support: Work closely with individual children or small groups to reinforce learning concepts, encourage social development, and provide tailored support to meet specific needs.

Observe and Report: Monitor children's progress and development, providing valuable feedback to the teacher and contributing to basic learning records.

Promote Positive Behaviour: Implement school policies effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies to manage behaviour and encourage cooperation.

A relevant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Early Years Educator, or equivalent).

Proven experience working with children aged 3-5 within an EYFS setting (school nursery or reception class experience is highly desirable).

A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding principles.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build instant rapport with children, staff, and parents.

A flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to work - ready to jump into new environments and make a positive contribution from day one.

An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Randstad).
