Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group academic support, particularly in Geography.
• Help students strengthen their understanding of key geographical concepts and develop critical thinking skills.
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons.
• Support classroom activities, discussions, and fieldwork preparation.
• Aid students with revision techniques and exam preparation.
• Contribute to classroom management and promote a focused learning environment.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support students with additional learning needs.
• Encourage students’ academic progress and personal development through positive mentorship.

Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant – Candidate Profile:

We’re looking for a Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant who has:

• A 2:1 degree or above in Geography or a related field.
• Strong academic background (GCSEs and A-levels).
• A genuine passion for Geography and education.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex ideas.
• Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, or working with young people (preferred but not essential).
• A proactive, enthusiastic, and empathetic approach.
• A desire to train as a teacher in the near future.
