Nursery Deputy Room Leader – Up to £31,000 – Full-Time
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Deputy Room Leader to join a thriving early years setting.
This role is ideal for an experienced Nursery Practitioner looking to step up, or a Deputy Room Leader looking for a new challenge. You’ll play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

What We’re Looking For
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or above)
- Experience as a Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or Deputy Room Leader
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and health & safety
- Confidence in supporting staff and stepping into leadership when needed
- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- A nurturing, proactive approach with a genuine passion for childcare

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Support: Assist the Room Leader with daily operations, staff mentoring, and parent communication
- Childcare Excellence: Deliver high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding for all children
- Curriculum Delivery: Support the EYFS curriculum and help implement creative, child-led learning opportunities
- Observation & Assessment: Track children’s progress and contribute to personalised learning journeys
- Team Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with colleagues, families, and external professionals
- Safe Environment: Ensure the nursery room is clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety
