Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Housing Resolution Officer (Scale 6) to join our dynamic team. As a Housing Resolution Officer, you will play a pivotal role in addressing housing issues and providing effective solutions to individuals and families facing housing crises. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the needs of clients and facilitate access to appropriate housing services. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including local agencies, landlords, and support services, to ensure the best possible outcomes for those seeking assistance. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of housing legislation, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others navigate complex housing challenges. You will engage with clients, conduct interviews, and perform in-depth assessments to identify their housing needs. Additionally, you will manage cases from initial referrals through to resolution, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth assessments of clients' housing needs.
Develop individualized housing plans that address clients' specific situations.
Collaborate with local agencies, landlords, and community organizations to secure housing solutions.
Provide information and guidance on housing rights and available support services.
Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring timely follow-up on all cases.
Maintain detailed records of client interactions and resolutions in compliance with data protection regulations.
Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in housing services.
Requirements
A relevant qualification in Housing, Social Work, or a related field.
Proven experience in a housing support or advisory role.
Strong understanding of housing legislation and local housing policies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using case management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Demonstrated empathy and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
