Position
We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Occupational Therapist or Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team on a fixed-term contract until 30th September 2026.
The role of Occupational Therapist will require the post holder to lead on the delivery of Occupational Therapy provision to a designated caseload of students. Occupational Therapy intervention will be based on a comprehensive assessment of need that results in high quality, evidence based, and cost effective programmes to meet the needs, abilities and aspirations of service users, students and funders.
The role of the Specialist Occupational Therapist (OT) will be to deliver high quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy services, to achieve continuous improvement in therapy standards and care across college and the college residences.
The role requires specialist interest and further qualifications / experience in and one or more of the following Occupational Therapy areas; Sensory Integration, Complex Physical Needs, including the identification of specialist equipment, and Enabling Access to Education.

Salary: Occupational Therapist £18.26 per hour/ Based on 37 hours £35,132.24 - 52 weeks
Salary: Occupational Therapist £18.26 per hour/ Based on 37 hours £31,646.04 - 40 weeks
Salary: Specialist Occupational Therapist £19.73 per hour/ Based on 37 hours £37,960.52 - 52 weeks
Salary: Specialist Occupational Therapist £19.73 per hour/ Based on 37 hours £34,193.67 - 40 weeks
Contract Length : Fixed Term (12 months)
Working Weeks : 52 Weeks or 40 weeks term-time
Working Hours : 37 hours (open to part-time, job-sharing)
Closing Date : 26th September 2025
Interview Date : W/C 29th September 2025

Requirements
Educated to degree level with a recognised professional qualification in Occupational Therapy
Current registration with Health and Care Professions Council and have verified validation
The Specialist role requires a minimum of two years’ post-qualification clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist, with recent experience delivering treatment programmes to people with a range of complex needs. Applicants must be able to facilitate therapy assessments, develop and oversee therapy and treatment programmes, and provide supervision to Occupational Therapists and students where required.
