Summary

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our small kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen environment is clean, organised, and efficient.

Hours of work are 11:00am to 4.00pm 5 days per week which includes Saturdays. There is some flexibility on hours.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Support chefs during service by ensuring that all necessary utensils and ingredients are readily available.
Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper rotation and adherence to health and safety standards.
Dispose of waste appropriately and keep work areas tidy at all times.
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
Experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering settings is advantageous.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards learning from others.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the kitchen schedule.
