Key Responsibilities:

1. To provide a high quality and effective Social Workers to respond to the needs of Adults and their families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines, Directorate policies, standards and guidelines.
2. To carry out strengths-based assessments of adults within the guidelines of the Care Act if required. To case manage complex cases including Safeguarding Adults, Deprivation of Liberty and applications to the Court of Protection.
3. Manage and monitor a workload of cases as directed and organise work activities considering the need to prioritise tasks and responsibilities, ensuring effective risk assessments, completion of mental capacity assessments and appropriate provision of support plans to meet identified eligible needs.
4. Screen incoming referrals transferred to the team and identified priorities and risks.
5. To support the ones team to meet Key Performance Indicators targets and actively contribute to its continuous improvement. To take forward delivering supervision &, appraisals meetings
6. To deliver roles and responsibilities as a Safeguarding Manager (SAM)
7. Manage a customer focused service and the effective use of resources.
8. Make a positive contribution to the delivery of the service, this will include working flexibly and positively to achieve the objectives of the council.
9. Demonstrate and increased level of knowledge and practice in one or more areas including court work.
10. Produce high quality assessments and reports for a range of functions and manage own complex work/case load including complex mental capacity work.


Essential Requirements:

Degree/Masters in Social Work and SWE registration.

2+ years of post-qualification experience.

Strong knowledge of UK social care legislation and practice.
