Summary
We are looking for a passionate and committed GCSE English & A Level Maths Tutor to join our team on a part-time basis at our friendly tuition centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys helping students develop their skills and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students aged 14–16 (GCSE level) in a small group setting (typically 3–6 students).
Plan and prepare lesson content in line with the GCSE English Language and Literature curriculum (AQA/Edexcel or similar).
Identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement, providing tailored support accordingly.
Monitor progress through informal assessments and feedback.
Maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
Communicate with the centre manager and, when necessary, parents/guardians regarding student progress.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of the A Level Maths for math tutor and GCSE English Language and Literature curriculum for english tutor.
Previous teaching/tutoring experience (GCSE level preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Organised, reliable, and punctual.
A degree in English, Education, or a related subject is preferred (but strong applicants without a degree may be considered).
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Requirements
Experience working in a tuition centre or similar educational setting.
QTS or PGCE (not essential but advantageous).
