Summary

NRL are proud to be partnering with Steel River Power to recruit some General Operatives for the Teesworks site.



Steel River Power operates the high voltage electrical distribution on the Teesworks site in the UK, one of the largest private networks in the UK.

Managing a large distribution network, our mission is to ensure uninterrupted and efficient energy delivery to customers.



Job Title: General Operative (x2)

Location: Teesworks

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

Working hours: Monday to Friday, days.



Overview



Our client is seeking two reliable and adaptable General Operatives to join their maintenance team at Teesworks on a permanent basis. The team will operate as a multi-skilled maintenance squad, responsible for ensuring that buildings, workshops, and surrounding grounds are well-maintained, clean, and safe.



Key Responsibilities



Carry out general building maintenance and minor repairs



Assist with basic joinery tasks



Undertake grounds and garden maintenance, including tidying external areas



Organise and clean workshops to a high standard



Wash and maintain company vans



Paint walls, floors, and other surfaces as required



Support a range of ad hoc maintenance and labouring tasks as directed



Work safely and in line with health & safety requirements at all times





Skills & Qualifications



Strong safety focus and disciplined approach to procedures.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexibly.

Clear communicator who can follow instructions precisely.

Proactive and team-oriented

CSCS card or equivalent industry certification desirable.

Full UK driving licence essential.
