Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
Barton Manor School is looking for an exceptional Teaching Assistant to work with classroom teachers to support the delivery of quality teaching and learning and to help raise standards of achievement for all students. Candidates will also be required to deliver support programmes that enable all students to access the curriculum and will be responsible to the SENCO.
Experience of working with young people or in a school environment is desirable with the ability to relate well to children and communicate diplomatically to adults. Candidates should be motivated, proactive, approachable, resilient and a good listener.
This is a term time only role with one staff development day.
Hours are 8.35am-3.15pm, Monday to Friday to include a 20 minute unpaid break and 50 minutes unpaid lunch break. 27.5 hours in total.

Barton Manor School, is a non-selective 11-18 school located in Canterbury, a 5 minute walk from Barton Court Grammar School. The School is in its fourth year of opening, with students in Y7, Y8, Y9 and Y10 only, and when full it will have a shared Sixth Form provision with Barton Court Grammar School providing a wide-range of vocational and academic courses.
