Start Date: 1st January 2026Salary: Leadership L14 - L18 This is an exciting opportunity to join Levenshulme High School’s Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Headteacher with SENCo responsibility. The successful candidate will lead the Inclusion Faculty and play a strategic role in shaping and delivering our SEND provision.
You will be responsible for ensuring excellent academic progress and personal development for students with additional needs, while supporting staff across the school to embed inclusive practices. As Assistant Headteacher for Student Behaviour, Safety and Wellbeing, you will contribute to whole-school leadership, working collaboratively to foster a culture of high expectations, equity, and continuous improvement.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader with a strong track record in inclusive education and a commitment to raising standards for all learners. You will bring excellent teaching practice, a deep understanding of SEND policy and provision, and the ability to lead and inspire others. SENCo experience is essential, and a SENCo qualification is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and a collaborative mindset are key, along with the ability to use data effectively to drive improvement.
